# Pull down menu imported from main movie

I made a pull down menu in flash MX. It works fine as an independent movie or attached on html page. However, when I imported from another .fla movie it works on its one, so I can not control it. The swf file does not have any mistake or bug , its clean and workfull.  
It is there any actionscrip to fix this problem and where do I add it?
