So, with production about to begin and the most recent speculation that the “Cell” only runs consistantly at 2.8Ghz, we get to ask the big question:

Who is **really** buying a Playstation 3?

I am usually big on console gaming, I paid a premium for my Xbox360, and I expected to do the same for the PS3, but really… why should I?

I have yet to see final specs, or ANY launch games. In fact I have yet to see 1 game on the PS3 that is impressive at any release date.

So with all the production troubles and development headaches… is it wise to even consider buying a PS3, or is it just a SIX HUNDRED DOLLAR headache waiting to happen?

PS: I personally don’t consider “BluRay” to be worth anything as I don’t have a HDTV, and Sony’s history with proprietary format production is deplorable.
