# Question about menu animation

Hello all,

New user here. I have some experience with Flash but am by no means a professional user. So Im appealing to you kind folks.

Im recreating a menu bar similar to the one in this tutorial.

And for the most part it works just fine. However I would like the whole bar to slide into position from the left of the screen.

When I place the bar created in a movie clip it goes berserk. The animation continuously loops. Yet outside the clip it works just fine. I know I’m missing something simple.

Would anyone be kind enough to give me a hint here?
