I am trying to figure out an efficient way to keep images created in photoshop, sliced up for Dreamweaver and then optimized in the proper format (.gifs, .jpgs, etc.) to load quicker and not show a broken images while the page loads. I am already loading background color and type via css but it seems that my images are still taking forever to load and are making the site look bad. Any thoughts?
