Ok here’s my problem.

I have 4 images on the main stage.

When I click a button it tells a movie target to run. In that movie there are buttons for sound clicps that load under the original 4 images. It looks like this:

* * *

## I I I P I P = Picture I I

* * *

## I SC I SC = Sound Clips (also buttons)

There are 4 of those lined up across the screen.

What I would like to happen is, when you click the button for a sound clip under one of the pictures, the other 3 pictures fade out to an alpha of like 30% or something.

I know this can be done with movie clips but I have already built this and the boss want’s them faded out and I dont want tohave to go back and do it all again. From what I can remember, as long as you name the pictures and tell the buttons (sound clips) what layer the Images are on you can use action scripting to lower the opacity.

I would aslo have to make it so the other images came back to original colour if you clicked on another sound clip below another image.

I hope I have explained this in enough detail - thanks!

if ur saying it can be done with mocie clips, why not just make the images movie clips with one frame in them?

what I ment was - if I had started with them as movie clips then I could have prevented this problem - but I have them as graphics.

But I think you have given me an idea… 🙂

I was just kind of hoping to use AS because I really want to learn some tihngs…
