- My PC came with a **pre-installed** version of Windows XP Media Center OS on the hard drive (partitioned on D: – which I’m not a fan of and new too) and it had me burn system recovery backup’s to CD when I first fired up my PC…

- I’m getting rid of the drive that came with the PC because I think it’s gone bad. **And my question is** : will these system recovery backup copies (on CD) work on a newly installed hard drive?

- I’m guessing the answer would be yes, but I wanted to be sure. Thanks.
