# Quick shapeflag question

If I set the the shapeflag parameter in the hittest method to true does that mean that it will use the mc’s shape and not its bounding box?

normal forum: answer = rtfm!  
here, i’ll improve slightly: read the help files & actionscript dictionnary that come with flash!!  
"shapeFlag: A Boolean value specifying whether to evaluate the entire shape of the specified instance (true), or just the bounding box (false). This parameter can only be specified if the hit area is identified using x and y coordinate parameters. "

It’"s just so much faster than waiting for an answer 🙂  
And: use the search button before future questions, or you’ll be likely to get other comments that may look a bit unfriendly…
