# RAM usage of PS CS4

Does Photoshop CS4 use a lot more RAM than past versions? On a cold start, it uses 92 MB (Windows XP). Then when you open a big file it can bloat up to 500MB. When you close that file, it doesn’t free up the RAM - it will stay at 500MB. Is this normal?
