hi, i followed the tutorial: [http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/random\_motionMX.htm](http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/random_motionMX.htm) and it worked perfectly! 😃

but being me, i’d really like to know HOW it works (i’ve tried looking around the site/forum but i can’t seem to find the explanation).

i understand most of it up until

```auto
norm = this.speed/dist;

```

when i sort of start losing it a bit…

could someone please ease my nagging mind?

p.s. just an unrelated ques. For posts like this…do they belong to the Actionscript Forum or here? coz its actionscript…but then again its Flash MX as well… (im new and i don’t really want to annoy the mods:P)
