i did the random movement tutorial on this site, and have a small dot moving around with a mind of its own… now, just say i wanted to have another smaller dot orbiting around the randomly moving dot constantly (i’ve seen it done with mouse pointers), as it moves, how would i go about that???

just put the orbiting dot in the movieclip with the dot. 😃 there’s not need to use compicated actionscript for this part when a simple tween will do.
