# RANT on school essay requirements

ok first off, im not complaining about writing essays, i dont care for that, but the self edit sheet that we recieved really pissed me off. its one thing to check for mistakes but what we recieved is outrageous.

> 1. Have you used semicolons? If not, find a sentece or a pair of sentences that would be better punctuated with a semicolon and rewrite

1. Have you used any dashes? (same thing as above)
2. have you inverted any senteces (same thing as above)

how can u assume that by doing this, your essay will be made better? i wouldnt have cared if she had said, “could you use a colon” but no, she implied “put in a colon or im talking points off”.
