# Re-assigning variable problem

Hi guys, I’m workin on a thing for my own personal use and I’ve got a problem. What I have is 5 variables labeled slot1 - 5. What these slots are used for is button positions. What I need is when a window is closed the buttons move up a slot. ie button 2 in slot2 becomes button2 in slot 1. If you’re not sure what I’m talkin about have a look at [this.](http://www.geocities.com/skinny_man21/new.html) Any help is appreciated.

I think you would benefit from an array, have a look at this and see if it is any help.

thanks, it’s a bit confusing (haven’t dealt with arrays since my vb days) but I’ll try and get it
