Im a junior in high school now and SATs are coming up soon and Im not in a position where I can whip out $600-1000 for Kaplan tutoring.

Here are some books I need recommendations for, please make sure these books are ones that you **highly** recommend in all seriousness because my grades are nothing to depend on when I apply for colleges, I need to get high scores on these tests.
[_]SAT I - test taking & essay writing, anything that deals with the whole test and shows me techniques to get a good score.
[_]SAT II - I plan to take it for math (and physics if thats a real choice), are there different levels of math or something?
[_]Applying to college - not how to get into ivy league schools, its too late to learn about that. Im looking for a book that will tell me what else I can do for the couple months I have left to make my application look better.
[_]College application essays - you do have to write essays for your applications to college no? this isnt really important now but I want to buy it as early as I can.
BTW - to clear things up, I need books that teach more than test. Thanks for your help.
