This is for the day job (manufacturer of refrigerated display cases), and here’s what I need to achieve: the ability to import IGES files; ability to work with and animate Poser characters; a large library of shaders/textures (so I don’t have to mess with making my own too much); ideally something where it would be simple to change a couple of parameters without having to completely recreate the model.

Not too worried about learning curve, though ease of attaining training and/or books, etc. is good.

So, can anyone make any recommendations?
