# Recording audio and Flash Media Server

Hi

I would like to build a small application in AS3 so that my users can record their voice with microphone.  
I know there is a Microphone class but I don’t know if AS3 allows to record the voice into a file that will be stored on the server.  
Is that possible to do so only with AS3?  
Do I absolutely need Flash Media Server or is there a way around?
