# Removing a value from array trouble

Hello all!

I am trying to remove a specific value from an array. According to [php.net](http://php.net) the unset() method should work.

```php
unset($row['assoc']); <-- does not work but
unset($row[0]); <-- does work but not what I need

```

I need to be able to remove the value by associative call not numeric…

Any help would be greatly appreciated using the above method or any other way to remove a specific value from array??
