# Replace String

i generate an mysql statement that has the following end

```auto

WHERE ((node.status = 1) AND (node.type in (\'package\'))

```

i would like to remove the “”

i have read about

```auto

preg_replace([COLOR=#800000]'#[^\w()/.%\-&]#'[/COLOR],[COLOR=#800000]""[/COLOR],$string);

```

but its not doing what i want it to do…  
please advice
