# Researching how to build - flash 'feature item' presentation

Hi all,  
newcomer to the forum here, I’m pretty green when it comes to really developing something the smart way, so I appreciate anyone’s help to point me in the right direction.

I’m not sure what to call it, but I’m looking to develop, something like what’s on [worldofwarcraft.com](http://worldofwarcraft.com), or [gamespot.com](http://gamespot.com) where they have 5 or so images, that they slowly transition to, and each is linked to a specific page. I’d really like to build this using xml, so that I can update the feature images weekly.

I don’t really know where to start to do this using actionscript or say pull it from an XML file, and I don’t really know where to search for it, because I wouldn’t really know what it’s called or how to describe it 🙂 If anyone can point me in the right direction I would sincerely appreciate the help.
