is it possible to have the a symbol only follow the mouse within a small area of a scene.

What i want is to have a small rectangle to follow the mouse over some text but not when the mouse is anywhere else in the scene. saw some things in the actionscript but not sure how that works or what numbers to put in there.

either run a search in the actionscript forum, or use [this](http://proto.layer51.com/d.aspx?f=660) prototype by senocular. =)
