# Retrieve the audio leftPeak from a video netstream?

Does anyone out there know to retrieve the audio leftPeak & rightPeak from a video netstream?  
(I know SoundChannel has that property but NetStream does not seem to allow itself to be associated with a soundchannel object)

//assuming that stream is a properly initialized NetStream  
//the following does not work…  
var music\_son\_sc:SoundChannel;  
stream.SoundChannel = music\_son\_sc
