# Retrieving file weight without downloading?

Hi! 2 questions:

- Anyone knows a smart way to retrieve the weight of a file without downloading it? Yes, I know, I can start downloading it and listen to the first data that is dispatched to read the bytesTotal, but then I’d have to stop the download process if I only want to know the weight of the file and nothing more…

- Is URLLoader suitable for all kind of files? I’ve read the docs, but they’re not enough clear to me.
