# Retrieving whois data

Hi there,

I was wondering if it was possible to retrieve certain whois information concerning a website eg. registration date.

I am using a script which allow me to check the domain availability of websites but i would like to get certain info when a domain has been already registered (in the case of a website transfer) so i can store these info for clients.
