# RSS 2.0 date to flash conversion

I asked this question on these forums and [as.org](http://as.org) forums and nobody replied, but i eventually figured it out myself. so what this does is convert an RSS 2.0 specified date (Sun, 28 Jun 2005 12:16:00 GMT) into the format of 6-28-05, which is what i needed. not necessarily what u may need but u can get the general idea out of it. i thought about this for a long time so im posting it in hopes of someone else getting some use of it hopefully because i couldn’t find anything about this on the net when i searched at first. anyway, hope it comes useful to somebody.

note: no swf since its all just code that goes into the output panel
