# Saving to a text file

I’m trying to make a sort of memo pad in Flash that I’m going to put into my Active Desktop. What I want is for it to load the text from a text file into it, be able to edit it, and save it back to the text file. I have all of it done, except the saving part. How would I accomplish that part? The only thing I could find on it had to do with CGI, but there has to be an easier way.

only method i know of is to do with cookies am afraid… dyu mind posting that cgi thing? im interested!
