Names Chris new to site, howzit everyone?

so i really love web design/ digital graphics. I want to do this as a living and was wondering who here actually went to school and learned the mechanics etc. And who just taught themselves thru reading, talking amongst others etc?

I was contemplating going to AIU but it seems pretty expensive. Anyhow lets hear guys!!!
