# Scrolling text not working in SWF

Hi guys, I just finished this tutorial [http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/transitions2.htm](http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/transitions2.htm)  
and couple of my swfs don’t work. That is, they will load but they’re not functional. They have scrolling text in them that’s stored in an external .txt file and i think it has something to do with the way that the MC controlling the feed is linked to the main swf. Does anyone know what might be causing this? I’m a bit of a flash n00b so go easy on me 😉
