# Selling online- tax

I’ve been building a shopping cart for a local retailer here and I have a general question about tax.

The retailer is located in Florida and has a 7% tax. Now what if we had shoppers from other states shop on the store, do they have to pay the 7% tax?

I assume they would since if they came phyically to the store, they would pay the Florida tax.

Can anyone shed some light on this?
