im been racking my brain for two days now trying to figure this thing out and i thought id get another perspective here.

Im trying to set the boudaries of this sliding mask so it doesnt (half) run off the screen at either side of X. I tried to make the rectangle the boundary but then it restricts the flow of the mask.

any help would be greatly appreicated
