# Setting up Virtual Hosting Help

I’ve recently setup Apache and Php on my laptop for developments purposes. I found a tutorial ([Installing and configuring Apache on Windows XP: Virtual Hosts](http://johnbokma.com/windows/apache-virtual-hosts-xp.html)) on setting up Virtual Hosting which I thought would be handing for organising my different projects I work on and view them easier via typing in the names into the nav bar of my browser.

I’ve gotten to a stage where I’ve done everything it says, but when I go to the url to view the index.html file it comes up with:

> **Forbidden**

You don’t have permission to access / on this server.

Anyone know why? I’ve tried to find info on the net but couldn’t find a solution. Thanks in advance.
