# Shared object or writing file

hi, i need to write a widget.  
But we have to make sure we can add locations.  
It is in air but created with flash, because it must be multi-platform (mac and windows)  
I have found some code but all i can access is the desktop, i know there is a way to access the directory where your application is but it won’t work. Is there any way to make it happen
