# SharedObject data--\> where is it on the user's harddrive?

I’ve looked on Adobe’s Flash Player guide and in the official docs, but it’s not mentioned. I’m creating a game that saves your progress to the local drive using SharedObjects and want to reassure users about what’s going on. Also, I just want to know: where are the files saved, what is the format, etc.?
