# Shine effect kirupa tutorial

I have tried this tutorial bout 4 times now. [http://kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/shine.htm](http://kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/shine.htm)

The tutorial starts with it showing a bottle at top and then the tutorial is based off of a simple rectangle made in flash. I am trying to accomplish this using a image and it is not working what so ever. My shine effect is set up exactly like the tutorial and source file however when i mask the image it shows nothing not even the shine moving across. Any ideas?
