# Shine effect

How do you use the shine effect when you import a photo. I want to use the shine effect with a photo like on the tutorial instead of just a shape. How do I do that?

Hi,

I’m not able to get a mask shape that’s the shape of my image (even after breaking it apart twice). Although I’m able to change the color, the mask shape is in the shape of a rectangle not the image and I’m not really able to see the shine effect. Also how do I get the mask moving over the image to stop so that after the image stays in place after the shine rolls over?
