# Showreel: how do i make one? &/or a basic plan of attack

**anyone have any suggestions on how i go about making a showreel?** here’s an example:

heh… i think it goes without saying that there are a LOT of individual techniques in there that will take a newbie like me, a WHILE to learn… but i’m curious to know if any of you have any suggestions about a basic plan of attack? maybe something similar to the “full site tutorial” here on kirupa. i’ve followed that, and made all sorts of my own changes to it…

i suspect once i have a **basic plan of attack** for the showreel, i could then incorporate all sorts of tricks and scripts found in the tutorials section, or here in the forums.

**i’m just confused about how to put them all together into a “showreel” - or where to even start?**

oh, i’ll be using: flashMX, swift 3d, freehandMX and PS7. are those enough? will i need something else?
