# Simple album thing

hey how is everyone?
I just got married and am looking for a really fast and easy way to put a bunch of pics on my site…I don’t want to declare variables, and I want either a bunch of thumbnails to show up, or just a single one w/ back and previous buttons…the main thing is this: I want the script to just play whatever I put in the pics/ folder. Oh, and also, I don’t want to freaking save everyone of them for web, I got like 500 pics, that I want to just upload to a folder and let it go.
What do you think? Too much to ask? It doesn’t even have to look pretty, it’s just for family.

It is doable. 🙂
You’ll need a server-side language to read the directory contents (such as PHP) and then pass them to the Flash movie.
And as long as those images are non-progressive JPEG’s, you won’t have to move a finger.

Ok. I had some spare time, so I made a couple of changes to the FLA in the [[U]Photo Gallery[/U]](http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/photogallery.htm) tutorial.
See attachment (FLA and PHP files included, get the images from the tutorial). 😉

I know I’m being freakin picky! but what is the deal w/ this whole progressive/nonprogressive thing? why does my digital camera pics work fine w/ my reg. html site, but not my flash site? What’s going on?

What do I have to do to allow for pics to resize to the window size? Please Help…everything worked great, save that.
