# Skinning winamp

has anyone ever done it before? something odd is going on over here. i am editing one of the image files, and it doesn’t change at all! i mean, the image is different, but the darn winamp isnt recognizing it as having changed. i tryd restarting, rebooting, and resaving, and nothing…  
im getting frustrated.

try something like skinner! a little program used to make simple winamp 2.xxx skins. :thumb:

thanks for the suggestion! but im not making a simple skin, so i need to do it manually. ☹  
its ok, ill fix this. most of it is fine, it’s just the darn volume bar. maybe my puter just needs a break. hrm.

FYI: Skinning in winamp needs a little of programming. If you look at other skins you can see .TXT files that define some placement of the the winamp elements! In winamp 3 you have to know XML to make a skin!

are you saving your files in a zip file or in a folder for the skin - I did one aages ago and I figured it worked better when I zipped the files when testing out…
