# Sliding Menu Tutorial/ Problem

I have been trying to use the tutorial at [http://www.kirupa.com/developer/flash8/slidingMenu.htm](http://www.kirupa.com/developer/flash8/slidingMenu.htm)

I sort of got it to work, but I can’t figure out why I have a little glitch. When you click around the menu a bit I lose all of my content boxes and just see the background. Anybody have any idea what I did wrong?

I figured it out, sort of. I found out you have to have 5 boxes. I didn’t see any code using the number 5, but once I added a 5th box, it worked. Whatever. I’ll just come up with a 5th thing to say, I guess.

I, too cannot get the tutorial to work. I followed the instructions EXACTLY and, after pasting in the activescript code, I saved, pressed ALT+ENTER to play. Nothing happens except the mouse changes to the pointy finger over the buttons. Other than that, nothing happens…
