# Sound effect, how to make it?

ok, I have a movie in after effects and I applied an age filmed effect so it looks like a damaged movie, I want to add sound to it but I need the music to sound like it´s old, I dont mean a song from the ´50 but, how can I explain it, everyone have heard an old radio transmition, it sounds with noise or something, sorry if my explanation sucks, but I dont know how to achieve that effect or with which software, thanks guys! 🐇

you need an audio program that allows you to mix two files together or has a track layer deal going on like cool edit pro.

you have “white noise” or the “static” as one file and then blend it in with the music or voice or whatever - also doctor the EQ on the music/voice file so it sounds kind of tinny…use flange and phaser effects well - that’s an overview - it will take tweaking and toying to get it sounding like you want.

Use sound forge and then use silence, static, and noise control to make it sound old :).
