Hiyo, I’m writing an affirmative case on this resolution: Individual claims to privacy ought to be valued above competing claims of societal welfare.

Now forget that, and all you smart people try to help me out here:

Consider the following:

Individuals require a certain degree of privacy to be functional within a society because without a limited sphere of unsanctioned intrusion, individuals feel violated and are then prone to withdrawing from society.

Can you think of an example that would support this contention? 👁
