# Starting to learn actionscript

So, I’m starting to learn actionscript. I’m planning on starting with the [lynda.com](http://lynda.com) videos.  
Should I first learn AS 1.0 and 2.0 before moving to 3.0 or will I be fine when I just start with beginner 3.0?  
I’m also starting university this year learning C++, JAVA and such (no php or actionscript).
