# Stop a movieclip from another frame

Hey guys,

A quick question:

How do I stop() a movieclip that’s on a different frame from the button ie the code?  
Like, just writing the instance name of said movieclip and .stop(); obviously isn’t working, so what do I have to write into the code to help it find the instance?
