# Stop external video

Hello. I’m having a major problem stopping video that is played in an external SWF. I’ve added the external SWF file via the addChild method. However, when I remove it the video’s audio keeps playing.

Please help, any suggestions are much appreciated. The only other solution if I can’t figure it out is rebuilding the site in AS2… needless to say I really really want to try and avoid that.
