# Strung out on a toString

Hi all I am wanting to extract a number from this.  
would i use the to string method. and from there splice??

var \_loc4 = this.toString;

(this) reads:\_level0.th\_nav.thmb1,\_level0.th\_nav.thmb2 etc.  
what I am wanting to do is get rid of the:\_level0.th\_nav.thmb so i am left with a number only??:q:
