# Stupid this.\_parent Question

Hi All,

Sometimes Flash really confuses me. I have a button on my main timeline and I want to talk to another mc. I thought you would just do the following:

```auto

on(release){
   this._parent.movieclip.gotoAndPlay("Home");

}

```

Is the above code the right path?
