# Suggestions on monitoring site traffic

i want to monitor the hits to my site, but i dont (really dont) want to add those tacky counters. anybody have any good suggestions

I use these guys who offer invisible counters as an option - you just have to log in to see how the hits are doing is the only drawback.  
If you dont mind showing the counter - then they have a wide range of designs to choose from, the results are shown on your page and best of all it’s all free.

If your server supports anything like PHP, it would be easy to make a counter, a search for PHP Counter at google would probably bring you fine results. (I think I saw one a Hot Scripts)
