# Swf file bigger than Fla file - by a LOT!

Hey everyone 🙂

I’m a long-time visitor to Kirupa, but first-time poster 😃

I’ve been creating a website and have run into this unusual little error… My fla file is about 3mb, but for some reason the swf file is a whopping 18.2mb!

Am unsure how this could have happened. I’ve tried optimizing the pictures in the file, and deleting unnecessary tweens (etc) - but no changes. I’veeven tried re-saving the file as something else, as well as the ‘save and compact’ command.

Any ideas??
