# .swf file blank when viewing in browser

hello all,

i’ve been working on kirupa’s tutorial “Photo Gallery using XML and Flash”

my problem is this: when i issuse the command file -\> publish preview -\> html it works great. when i simply export the movie and try to play it in the stand alone player OR when i embed that same swf in a new html page the movie does not play. just a blank sqare w/ the brower hung trying to load…

any suggestions?
