# Syntax and if-else question

Hello everybody,

I am a newbie in AS 3.0 so please be nice for me. I have some questions.

- Is it possible to use a if without the else? if so why?

- and what is the syntax of a if-else statement?

I know that I first have to look around the forum, but the explanation is not quiet clear for me, so if some one can help me with this please I would be grateful.
