I dont know man… they’re all over the place… their latest cd is completely out of whack… first they were trip-hop… then they were downtempo… then … I dont know what the hell they are now… I just know I really like their songs.
Hell yea. I broke my record of never buying a CD and went out and got theirs.
Dieselboy and Aphex Twin came out with new albums… I am sooooo droooling over them.
Aphex Twin - 26 Mixes for Cash
Dieselboy - Project HUMAN
I don’t really like Techno. I guess some are good, but I’m never going to buy a Techno CD. There’s not enough “feeling” in it, in my opinion. I’m speaking of the crap “boom-pssh-boom-pssh” style here.
But like some of you said here, techno comes in different kinds. Some soundtracks (“Signs remix” by Paul Oakenfold,…) are very good. I don’t really know if that’s categorized as “techno”.
Hooverphonic is cool, I agree. They are Belgians… :trout:
I like techno, trance, drum&bass, house…
Here are the dj’s I like:
Chicane, Dj Dean, Dj’s@Work, Darude, ATB/SQ-1, Trance Allstars, Quicksilver, Floorfilla, Gigi D’Agostino, Dj Dave, Dj Novus, Rocco, Jan Wayne, Lexy&K.Paul, Mark’oh, Paul van Dyk, Master Blaster, PPK, Public Domain, Pulse Driver, Robert Miles, Starsplash, Tom Novy, Barcode Brothers, Barthezz, Blank&Jones, Brooklyn Bounce, Chemical Brothers…
* not ordered or something
I’m trying to make music too, but I’m total beginer.

Haha, I have their CDs… they’re pretty good… however, I might break my record of never buying a SINGLE… the singles have really awesome remixes that I can’t find online…
PS… I never buy anything from anyone named “DJ Something”… I know I won’t like it… You guys should go to to the record store and check out compilations like “Ultimate Chill out” - you might like it. Also, anything with the word Ibiza in it is pretty cool… hehe.
I’m starting to get into thievery Corporation… although it’s taking a while…
Man Lynx talk about really into it! i just started loikeing it so i have no clue who half those guys are lol
I love it but I don’t listen to it!
lol @ syko and mdipi
Could anybody tell me anything about Trip Hop? Some examples?
lava-
sometimes Dj Something is really cool; I just found DJ Tomcraft as a good example. Hm, but of course I wouldn’t buy CD from anyone too :).
midi… some of the artists that lynx mentioned are on movie soundtracks… you might have heard them…
I cannot stand Techno…I need to have lyrics in the music I listen to - I like to be entertained I guess. I think that’s why I like rap and hip hop so much.

But electronic music IS filled with emotion. But you have to listen to more than just whats on the surface. It’s weird… or I am weird… or both, but either way somethings weird
Creed is bad as well
VERY TRUE Jubba, probably the most true thing i’ve heard in a long time.
The DJ of one of my favorite radio stations actually banned Creed. So for the 4 hours he is on the air, no Creed gets played at all!!! It’s the best radio time EVER!!!
hm… what is that Creed?
It’s a band… a very bad band. Be glad you don’t know them
::waits for someone to complain about what I said :P::
does not complain :beam:

Uhuh… I’ll try to remember that. It’s not really my thing. There’s much more emotion in pop, rock, hip-hop and rap (there are always exceptions of course).
Is “Love Don’t Let Me Go” by David Guetta also categorized as Techno? They call it “Europop” over here, which is usually very commercial stuff.
Another example is Sylver, which is a Belgian group. I think those are OK as well. You can hear a sample of their music on that site. Very popular in Belgium and other countries in Europe.
I listen to a few techno, except the music I listen to is part techno part classical. Anybody here heard of Enigma? Some of his songs are quite good =)
Cheers!
