Hello all I am trying to get a better perspective on how to create and setup a template for my website. I have created templates using dream weaver .dwt files and find its easy to update create a new page for a big site. Well if I were to do this manually I was hoping to get some input back on how users here would go about it.

My inital method.
I was thinking of creating a basic html page called template.html and importing my style sheet with all the default links defined in my template.html page example home, contact, about us etc. and when I need to create a new page I would open up template.html add the needed content and then save that file as for example index.html.

I was just wanted some feed back on the above posted method is this a decent way of approaching a nice sized website that would require the use of a template. Or is there a better to approach this method. thanx for any help feed back
